DHCP Server and Utilities for Windows® 32-Bit
Systems
ipLease brings Dynamic Host Configuration
Protocol services to small and mid-size networks, even to those
without a UNIX® machine or a Windows Server.
We offer you a free evaluation version of ipLease.
Please see our evaluation link below.

for basic networks and get ipLease working in minutes.
NEW! ipLease DHCP Server now supports Option 82, Relay Agent
Information echo.
We have designed ipLease to run on all 32-bit Windows
operating systems, including Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT Server,
NT Workstation, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP and Windows Vista platforms.
A DHCP server centralizes TCP/IP network administration. DHCP client hosts,
like Windows 98, request configuration values when they start
and the DHCP server supplies them. Notebook computers may "float"
among networks using the DHCP.
DHCP has afforded the administrators of large corporate and campus networks
the ability to manage them from their desks, with little or
no intervention at user workstations, like Windows 95 computers.
Now, ipLease affords the same capability to people who manage smaller
network configurations, at a reasonable price and without the overhead
of server platform and external data base administration. We expect
that the person who administers
a small to mid-size TCP/IP network could run ipLease on the Windows 95
machine on the desk, without any serious contention with other
applications that Windows runs there, even with a concurrent
compilation or e-mail processing (as in our lab).
Larger organizations with small, remote offices have also found
ipLease to be a good solution for serving their dispersed
locations. ipLease's advanced diagnostic features favor
a central site
troubleshooting approach for supporting such remote offices.
ipLease supports:
- Several sizes at several
prices:
- - home/small office: up to 16 leases (IP addresses)
- - departmental: up to 32 leases
- - floor: up to 64 leases
- - small building: up to 256 leases
- - medium building: up to 1024 leases
- - small campus: up to 2048 leases
- Configurable lease times
- Roving notebook computers among networks
- DHCPINFORM messages
- 70+ DHCP options (Most are configurable values sent to DHCP
clients, like Domain Name.)
- Relay Agent Information echo (Option 82)
- Cable modems
- Operation without need of an external data base
- Graphical status and control window (shown above)
- Graphical view of leases in the server (shown below)
- On-line lease display and change in the server
- Windows INI-style configuration, no Unix expertise is needed
- Per-client configuration
- Advanced host name configuration and reporting
- Lease activity logging
- Foreign DHCP server detection
- Snapshot reporting of current leases
- Multiple IPv4 networks (via external relay agents often found
in routers)
- Up to three networks "on the same wire"
- Automatic host naming configurable by the administrator
- Configurable renew and rebind times (T1 and T2)
- All three lease types: dynamic, automatic, and static (also
known as manual or reserved)
ipLease does not support:
And here is a display of ipLease's DHCP server reporting a lease
previously issued to a Windows 95 operating system's DHCP client:
ipLease package:
- ipLease DHCP software includes:
DHCP Server, the server program; DHCP Trap, a broadcast
trace capture program; DHCP View, a viewer for traces taken
by the DHCP Server and DHCP Trap programs; DHCP Maint,
a program to display and maintain leases; DHCP Gen, a program
to generate and maintain all leases; and documentation.
- Free ipLease configuration via e-mail for customers
with 50 or fewer leases. Just tell us your TCP/IP network information,
and we'll tailor your ipLease Server and Gen configuration for
free. (See the form provided with the documentation. We intend
this for the administrator of a small network, who must, as a
fifth additional duty, contend with TCP/IP complexities, like
roving notebook computers.)
- Free support for 60 days.
